BANGKOK, Thailand – A 26-year-old woman has filed a police complaint after a neighbor allegedly vandalized her car and left a threatening note following a dispute over parking in a housing estate in Bang Bua Thong district, Nonthaburi. Security camera footage recorded at approximately 2:46 a.m. on June 14 captured the incident. The footage shows the victim’s black sedan parked beside a neighborhood playground before a silver sedan, later identified as belonging to a resident of the estate, entered the street. A tall man wearing a red shirt and beige shorts was seen getting out of the vehicle. He reportedly rang a doorbell and looked into a nearby property before taking photographs of the victim’s car. The man then appeared to point his mobile phone toward a CCTV camera before allegedly damaging the vehicle by forcibly bending the right-side mirror and breaking a windshield wiper.

The victim, 26-year-old Pannawisa, told reporters that she returned home around midnight but was unable to find a parking space near her house. She said she parked next to the playground while leaving sufficient room for vehicles to enter and exit the street. The following morning, a concerned resident alerted her that her car had been damaged. After reviewing CCTV footage obtained from a house opposite the playground, she discovered what had happened overnight. In addition to the damage, the suspect allegedly left a handwritten note containing a threat. According to the victim, the message warned that the next incident would be “worse” if she continued parking her vehicle in the same manner.

Pannawisa said she had never met the man before and had no prior dispute with him. She insisted that her vehicle was not blocking access to the road and believes the situation could have been resolved through a simple conversation rather than intimidation and property damage.

Fearing for her safety after receiving the threat, she filed a complaint with Bang Bua Thong Police Station and is seeking legal action. The woman also claimed that other residents told her the same neighbor had allegedly engaged in similar behavior on at least two or three previous occasions. According to local residents, another homeowner living opposite the playground had reportedly experienced a similar incident in the past. Police are investigating the complaint. (NNT)
