SHENZHEN, China – The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization), or TCEB, has launched “MEET Thai Plus 2026 Shenzhen” under the theme “Thailand: Meet for More,” introducing a new platform to promote Thailand’s business opportunities and strengthen connections with the Chinese market. The initiative brings together around 100 organisations from Thailand’s public sector, private sector and academia. Participating organisations represent a broad range of industries, including MICE, trade, investment, tourism, technology, the digital economy, education, food, healthcare and the creative economy.
TCEB expects the event to attract around 1,000 Chinese business participants and facilitate at least 800 business-matching meetings between Thai and Chinese companies, with an estimated business value of one billion baht. Memoranda of Understanding are also expected to be signed, particularly in exhibition, technology and innovation. The initiative is designed to provide Chinese businesses with access to Thailand’s diverse economic opportunities, while helping Thai businesses connect with potential partners and expand into the Chinese market. It also aims to promote Thailand as a regional hub for meetings, exhibitions and investment serving the wider ASEAN market.
Shenzhen was selected as the host city due to its position as a major centre for technology, innovation and investment in the Greater Bay Area. Key Thai organisations participating include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Department of International Trade Promotion, the Board of Investment, the Eastern Economic Corridor Office, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand and the Digital Economy Promotion Agency. MEET Thai Plus 2026 Shenzhen will be held on September 9–10 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre in China. The event will cover 7,500 square metres of exhibition and meeting space and is expected to attract around 1,500 participants, including 1,000 B2B delegates. (NNT)
