PHUKET, Thailand – Thailand kicks off the Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025, displaying artworks from global artists across town, from 29 November until 30 April 2026.

The festival spans three districts: Mueang, Kathu, and Thalang, under the theme “Eternal Kalpa,” reflecting the fleeting nature of all things, including love, and calls for the protection of the natural world before it disappears.

The biennale brings together 65 artists and artist collectives from 25 countries, both Thai and international, to create and exhibit contemporary art across 19 venues and art pavilions (SALAs).

This initiative underscores Thailand’s commitment to promoting art as a form of soft power on the global stage. It also aims to position Phuket as a “City of Creative Art,” highlighting it as a premier destination for cultural tourism.

Culture Minister, Sabeeda Thaised, stated that the initiative is part of the Ministry’s policy “Thai Thai”, anticipating to enhance community value and driving the country’s creative economy.

The festival is anticipated to attract at least 3 million visitors and generate an estimated economic turnover of over 30 billion baht in Phuket and surrounding areas. (NNT)
