Thailand’s Ministry of Education reports that two Thai students have won a Diploma of Excellence in a sustainability-based water-saving competition at the Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2021.

She said the students were selected by the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology to compete at this year’s online tournament.

Their invention, a Bio-Moisture-Nutrient absorbing belt for promoting sugarcane seedling growth from local waste, can boost nutrients for seedlings and reduce the need for watering, adhering to sustainable development goals. (NNT)
