BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has led government officials and civil servants in an oath-taking ceremony to pledge allegiance and reaffirm their commitment to public service in honor of His Majesty the King’s birthday. Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek stated that the ceremony at Sanam Luang in Bangkok included the Presidents of the National Assembly, Supreme Court, and Senate, as well as Cabinet members, military commanders, police officers, and public representatives.
During the ceremony, the Prime Minister paid respects before His Majesty’s portrait and delivered a congratulatory address on behalf of all state employees. He expressed gratitude for His Majesty’s dedication to the nation’s prosperity and the well-being of the Thai people. The Prime Minister then led the assembly in reciting the oath, with officials pledging honesty, adherence to royal guidance, and commitment to addressing national issues for the public good. The ceremony concluded with royal anthems and traditional chants honoring the monarch.
The Office of the Civil Service Commission organized the central event and encouraged state agencies nationwide to hold similar ceremonies at their offices. The public and government officials are also invited to sign an online oath of allegiance on the commission’s official website until July 31, 2026, to demonstrate their loyalty and commitment to ethical public service.
