BANGKOK, Thailand – The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a petition filed by the National Anti-Corruption Commission in a case involving 44 former Move Forward Party lawmakers who sought to amend Section 112 of the Criminal Code.
The court did not suspend 10 sitting lawmakers, now with the People’s Party, allowing them to continue performing their duties while the case is under review.
The People’s Party is holding its annual general meeting from April 24 to 26 and plans a media briefing around midday to outline its legal response. (NNT)
