
BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Transport has confirmed that nationwide travel operations during the Songkran holiday period proceeded smoothly, with no passengers left stranded.
Deputy Transport Minister Siripong Angkasakulkiat reported that efforts to facilitate public travel between April 10–12, 2026, were successful, ensuring citizens could return to their hometowns as scheduled.
On April 12, 2026, the final outbound bus departed at midnight. Authorities confirmed that, despite high passenger volumes, no passengers were left stranded at bus terminals nationwide.
The Deputy Minister noted that this outcome demonstrates the effective implementation of government policy, which prioritizes convenience, efficiency, and safety in public travel.
