BANGKOK, Thailand – The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) has announced it expects more than 100,000 people to attend this year’s National Children’s Day event, as preparations are finalized for aerial displays and public activities in Bangkok. Officials said the event is set to inspire children and youth and to build public confidence in the Air Force’s capabilities.

Organizers acknowledged that some inconvenience may occur during the one-day event, including possible delays to commercial flights, and asked for public understanding.

Attendance is projected to exceed 100,000 based on previous events, with last year’s Royal Thai Air Force anniversary drawing about 130,000 visitors. Security measures are fully in place, including screening equipment and identity verification for participants who registered online.

The program will feature aerial displays following recent air operations in border areas. The aircraft will fly at lower altitudes than during operational missions to allow spectators to view the performances more clearly and safely.

RTAF Spokesperson Air Marshal Chakkrit Thammavichai said activities in Bangkok will be held at the 601 Squadron area, the Royal Thai Air Force Museum, and Thung Si Kan Airport. He stated, however, that events will not take place at air bases in Nakhon Ratchasima, Sa Kaeo, Chiang Mai, Surat Thani, and Ubon Ratchathani provinces, citing the need for each location to remain ready for operational duties.
