BANGKOK, Thailand – The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, is proud to present Royal Benevolence, an extraordinary evening of symphonic music presented in collaboration with Russian Seasons, celebrating the enduring cultural friendship between Thailand and Russia through the universal language of music. Led by acclaimed Russian conductor Ivan Nikiforchin, the concert welcomes the return of internationally acclaimed flautist Sofia Viland, who will perform Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto in E Minor in a special arrangement for flute and orchestra. The programme also features Mendelssohn’s enchanting A Midsummer Night’s Dream Overture before culminating in Rimsky-Korsakov’s breathtaking Scheherazade, one of the most colourful and captivating orchestral masterpieces ever written.
