Private education aims to develop multilingual students

BANGKOK, 3 September 2015  – The Institute of Curriculum and Instruction Quality Development is urgently developing the quality of education of private schools with the goal to help students communicate in more than two languages.

President of the Institute of Curriculum and Instruction Quality Development Saksin Rotesaranrom said the institute supported private schools nationwide to jointly develop education strategies and planning according to guidelines of the Ministry of Education. The institute would also develop foreign language proficiency of the students more so that they would be able to speak more than two languages, the president said.

Meanwhile, President of the Thai Council of Private Schools Chiraphan Phimphan said the council sought to improve the quality of private education to meet international standards. Students in primary, secondary and high school levels needed to be able to think analytically, solve problems and create new things, Mrs. Chiraphan added.
