PRD holds water-pouring ceremony for Songkran tradition

BANGKOK, 9 April 2015  – The Public Relations Department (PRD) today held the water-pouring ceremony, to ask for blessings from senior officials for 2015 Songkran festival, in keep with the 12 Core Values.

 

The PRD Director-General Apinan Juntarungsri has led the executives and officials of the PRD to participate the water-pouring ceremony at the PRD Auditorium, to show respect and ask for blessings from former Directors-General of PRD, namely the 24th PRD Director-General Arun Ngamdee, the 25th PRD Director-General Chunt Poonsombut, the 26th PRD Director-General Bangern Musikapong, 29th PRD Director-General Sompong Wisuthipat, the 32nd PRD Director-General Dussadee Sinjermsiri, 33rd PRD Director-General Pramote Rattawinit, and the 35th PRD Director-General Kritsanaporn Sermpanich.

The PRD Director-General said that the ceremony held was part of the Songkran tradition, which is hosted by the PRD every year. This event reflects the gratitude towards the seniors which is a part of the 12 Core Value, which is an important aspect of Thai culture.

The former PRD Director-General Arun Ngamdee said that he was impressed by this event, that it allowed him to reconnect with officials whom he had worked with. He said he would receive a warm welcome every time he comes back to this place.

He has also wished all PRD staff to have good health, create work unity and to work hard for the prosperity of the organization.
