PM orders compensation for Pattani attack victims

Bangkok – The Prime Minister has ordered security agencies to enhance protection levels and provide compensation to victims of Tuesday’s terrorist attack in Pattani.

Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha also expressed condolences to families of those killed in the attack and ordered the military, police, administrative agencies, and intelligence units in the southern region to be on high alert and track down those responsible for the violence.

Members of the general public in the area are advised to remain calm and continue with daily life, while at the same time remaining vigilant to any suspicious items or persons, which should be reported immediately to security officials.

The Prime Minister has promised to provide assistance to victims of the attack and the families of those who lost their lives.
