STATEMENT BY THE PRIME MINISTER
My fellow Thai citizens,
The Bureau of the Royal Household officially announced that Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita had passed away. This news has brought profound sorrow and grief to Thai people throughout the Kingdom.
There are no words that can fully convey the feelings of the Thai people, for this loss is not merely sad news received by the public. Rather, it is an immeasurable sorrow felt in the hearts of people across the entire nation. Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha was beloved, respected, and deeply revered by people from all walks of life. She was a royal princess endowed with compassion, exceptional ability, and exemplary conduct. Throughout her life, the Princess devoted herself to serving the nation and the people, standing as a model of selfless dedication.
My beloved fellow citizens,
Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha made great contributions as member of the Royal House of Chakri. She dedicated her strength, ingenuity, and determination to the pursuit of a society founded upon justice, equality, and human dignity. Her remarkable accomplishments in many fields –- as a legal scholar, diplomat, and social worker – served as an enduring example, inspiring Thai people to believe in their own potential, pursue their aspirations, strive for self-improvement, and use their knowledge and abilities for the benefit of society and the nation.
My beloved fellow citizens,
Although Her Royal Highness, a source of pride for the Thai nation, has passed away, her benevolence toward the nation and the people, together with her devotion to a society rooted in compassion, justice, and equality, will remain a lasting legacy for the Kingdom. These virtues will continue to shine like the radiance of a precious diamond, guiding generations of Thai people in the years ahead.
On this occasion, I invite all Thai citizens to honor and remember the boundless benevolence of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita by steadfastly practicing goodness, showing compassion toward one another, extending assistance to those less fortunate, and contributing to the common good. These are values that Her Royal Highness embraced and exemplified throughout her life.
