PM Anutin meets AMCHAM executives to boost U.S. investment and ease of doing business in Thailand

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has met with executives from the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) to discuss business challenges, investment opportunities, and strategies to improve the ease of doing business for U.S. companies operating in Thailand. The meeting was attended by over 30 member companies representing key sectors, including technology, energy, finance, healthcare, and manufacturing.

During the discussion, Anutin reaffirmed the government’s push for streamlined regulations, greater transparency, and fast, result-oriented economic policies under the “Quick Big Win” approach. He welcomed private sector input to help shape practical solutions and strengthen investor confidence, while also stressing the importance of long-term partnerships with international businesses.

U.S. companies expressed continued interest in expanding their presence in Thailand. Technology firms discussed growing investment in cloud infrastructure and data centers, while financial institutions called for regulatory improvements to boost Thailand’s international competitiveness. One leading tech company reported that its new data center is expected to generate more than 10,000 high-skilled jobs in the country.


Executives from the energy, food, and healthcare sectors also presented proposals to deepen their engagement in Thailand. Healthcare companies shared plans to support pharmaceutical research and medical technology, while food industry leaders highlighted Thailand’s strength in agriculture and its role in regional supply chains. Energy firms discussed the potential for clean energy development and long-term talent investment.

Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun affirmed the government is now working to create a more business-friendly environment by updating laws and advancing both digital and green economies. She noted that feedback from AMCHAM members provides valuable insight for shaping policy to support sustainable growth.

The Prime Minister concluded the meeting by calling for continued dialogue and public-private cooperation. He reaffirmed that the government views strong partnerships with international investors, especially long-standing allies such as the United States, as essential to achieving mutual economic success. (NNT)
