BANGKOK, Thailand – Minister of Culture Sabeeda Thaised announced that His Majesty the King has graciously extended royal patronage to the victims of the August 7, shooting incident in Nonthaburi province. The Minister stated that His Majesty the King has placed all injured individuals under royal medical care and provided royal sponsorship for the funeral rites of the deceased. This gracious support includes royal bathing water and royal wreaths from Their Majesties, which provincial governors or state representatives will place before the caskets. His Majesty has also granted a special royal cremation and financial assistance of 20,000 baht each for funeral arrangements for the deceased relatives of the perpetrator.
The Ministry of Culture is prioritizing preparations for the funeral ceremonies to ensure they proceed smoothly and with dignity. Agencies and officials in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and other provinces are working closely with the Bureau of the Royal Household to follow all royal traditions and protocols. The Minister expressed deep gratitude for the royal benevolence during this difficult time and offered her condolences to the bereaved families and the injured.
