BANGKOK, Thailand – Sales at the “Silpacheep Prateep Thai OTOP: United in Our Hearts Through Royal Grace” fair have surpassed 367 million baht during its first five days, with August 12 recording the highest daily total so far at 82.7 million baht. The event continues through August 16 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Persvivatana reported today (Aug 13) that cumulative sales from August 8 through 12 reached 367,933,077 baht. Of the August 12 total, nearly 74 million baht came from purchases at the venue, while 5.8 million baht came from purchase orders and about 3 million baht from online transactions.
Textiles and clothing led all categories with approximately 193.8 million baht in cumulative sales, followed by food at 66.7 million baht and household and general-use products at 41.7 million baht. Non-food herbal products generated about 8.8 million baht, while beverages accounted for 7.5 million baht. The government expects the fair to expand market opportunities and generate income for OTOP producers and communities nationwide. Visitors can shop for SUPPORT Foundation products, Thai textiles, handicrafts, food, and other community goods through August 16, with eligible purchases also covered by the “Thais Help Thais Plus” program.
