Operation center ordered to keep watching daily social problems

BANGKOK, 21 May 2015 – The Minister of Social Development and Human Security has reiterated to all of its units to keep monitoring social problems and provide acute assistance to affected people as well as less fortunate members of the society.

Minister Adul Saengsingkeaw told a workshop of the MSDHS operations center today that the center must monitor social problems in Thai society and record them daily for use in future analysis and working out short- and long-term solutions to the problems. These problems include human trafficking, domestic violence, unprepared pregnancy, aging society as well as poverty.

Officers of the MSDHS center hold a meeting every morning to discuss emerging problems and formulate solutions and prevention for each of the problems on a timely basis.

Not only the operation center, the ministry has also established “One Stop Crisis Center” or OSCC which people can inform social problems through hotline 1300 around the clock.
