Thailand’s National Cancer Institute has become the first institution to receive Comprehensive Breast Center certification from the Thailand Breast Cancer Alliance.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has become the first institution in Thailand to receive certification as a Comprehensive Breast Center from the Thailand Breast Cancer Alliance (TBCA). The accreditation, valid from February 10, 2026, to February 10, 2029, recognizes the institute’s ability to provide comprehensive breast disease care in line with national standards. The Department of Medical Services said the recognition represents a step forward in specialized healthcare and access to high-quality treatment. The achievement is especially significant as breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Thai women.

The NCI provides multidisciplinary care across every stage of breast disease management, from public education and early screening to diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term follow-up. The institute said it has continuously improved its healthcare system while meeting rigorous quality standards. The institute stated that it will continue to share its expertise with healthcare facilities nationwide to improve cancer care services, adding that the accreditation is expected to boost public confidence in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment across Thailand.
