Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek announces strong demand for Aom Plus savings bonds, with the first offering fully subscribed within seconds.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek has announced that Thailand’s Aom Plus government savings bonds were fully subscribed within 21 seconds, reflecting strong public demand for secure and accessible savings options. The spokesperson explained that the bonds are intended to make investing accessible with modest amounts. The next subscription round will use the Small Lot First allocation method, prioritizing smaller subscriptions to ensure broader and fairer access for retail investors. The next subscription period will run from August 3–5, through the Bond Connect platform, with a minimum subscription of 1,000 baht.

The government is working to improve financing access for small businesses and SMEs. Financial institutions will use large-scale and alternative data to assess business potential more comprehensively, reducing reliance on collateral. This approach aims to help qualified businesses secure funding, maintain operations, expand, and preserve jobs. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas is overseeing these efforts in coordination with the Bank of Thailand, financial institutions, and relevant agencies.

The government is also intensifying efforts to address illicit capital, mule accounts, online gambling, irregular transactions, and informal financial activities that undermine competition and harm legitimate businesses. To further stimulate the economy, the government is focused on attracting high-quality investments in future industries such as electric vehicles, data centers, and clean energy. The spokesperson emphasized that these efforts aim to direct capital into the real economy, generate high-income jobs, and ensure equitable economic opportunities for all citizens.
