The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is offering free access to national parks and natural attractions across Thailand on April 14, encouraging families to travel, save on holiday costs, and engage in environmental conservation during Songkran.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is offering free nationwide entry to natural attractions and learning sites on April 14 for Thai citizens in celebration of Songkran and Family Day. The move follows government policy under Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to advance the country across economic, energy, and environmental areas.

Natural Resources and Environment Minister Suchart Chomklin said the measure is intended to support domestic tourism, reduce household expenses, and encourage families to spend time together during the holiday. The agency is also working to raise public awareness of natural resource conservation while contributing to economic activity.

Permanent Secretary Raweewan Bhuridej said the ministry has prepared facilities and personnel to accommodate visitors, with safety measures and services in place across all locations. Authorities expect increased travel during the holiday period and have arranged support to ensure a smooth experience for the public.

Sites open free of charge include 133 national parks, as well as wildlife sanctuaries, non-hunting areas, forest parks, botanical gardens, arboretums, zoological parks, museums, and marine learning centers nationwide. Visitors are advised to check details for each location in advance and to follow regulations to help protect natural resources. (NNT)
