A batch of 25,000 bottles or 300,000 doses of vaccine have been dispersed to all 126 hospitals in Bangkok so that they may be administered to people over the age of 60 as well as people suffering from any of seven chronic illnesses.

After receiving an allocation of 350,000-420,000 doses of AstraZeneca brand COVID-19 vaccine, the Bangkok Governor has ordered expedited coordination with people who had their June 14-30 jabs delayed via the Mor Prom application and the Thai Ruam Jai platform, so that they may reschedule their shots.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) posted to its Facebook page that the city’s health office received 35,000 bottles of AstraZeneca vaccine, providing 350,000-420,000 doses of the treatment as each bottle contains 10-12 doses. Bangkok Governor Pol Gen Assawin Kwanuang has therefore called for a rescheduling of potential recipients in the Mor Prom and Thai Ruam Jai systems, originally scheduled to have been jabbed between June 14 and 30.

Another 10,000 bottles or up to 120,000 doses have been provided to the 25 vaccination sites outside of hospitals in the city.

The hospitals are to carry out rescheduling of senior citizens and sufferers of the chronic conditions, due to having originally been tasked with caring for the groups.

Bangkok residents who signed up for vaccinations on the Thai Ruam Jai platform are asked to revisit the webpage for further information, or follow updates posted to the BMA public relations page.

Meanwhile, people receiving messages that their June 15 vaccination will be available on June 21, are informed that the news is fake and are asked to follow updates from only the official Thai Ruam Jai page. (NNT)
