Acting Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul speaks out on national security, reaffirming that Thailand will continue military operations until all threats to its territory and people are removed.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Acting Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has firmly rejected calls for a ceasefire with Cambodia, stating that Thailand will continue military operations until all threats to the country and its people are eliminated.

In a post on his official Facebook page Anutin Charnvirakul on December 13, Anutin responded directly to remarks attributed to U.S. President Donald Trump, making clear that Thailand has no intention of halting its actions at this stage.

“It’s definitely not a roadside accident. Thailand will continue to perform military actions until we feel no more harm and threats to our land and people. I want to make it clear. Our actions this morning already spoke,” Anutin wrote in English.

The statement underscores the caretaker government’s position that current military operations are necessary to defend national sovereignty and ensure public safety, amid ongoing tensions along the Thai–Cambodian border. Authorities maintain that Thailand’s actions are defensive and based on assessed security threats on the ground. (TNA)
