Anutin launches nationwide ‘Thais Help Thais’ drive to cut living costs with deep discounts at district offices

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul kicks off a nationwide cost-of-living relief campaign featuring discounted essentials and OTOP goods at over 3,000 items, with up to 58% off, as district offices across Thailand host weekly sales events throughout May.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is leading a nationwide push to reduce living costs with the launch of “Thais Help Thais” sales points at district offices, offering discounted essential goods to the public. The campaign is being carried out through coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Commerce, with support from major retail networks and suppliers.

The Department of Provincial Administration and the Department of Business Development are working with large wholesale and retail operators to supply household and consumer goods at lower prices. Items include daily necessities such as soap, shampoo, and detergent, along with staple foods such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, and sauces. Products from major house brands, including Makro, Lotus’s, Big C, TOPS, and GO Wholesale, are being distributed nationwide to expand access.



More than 3,000 items are available with discounts of up to 58%, along with community products, OTOP goods, agricultural items, and SME offerings. Sales events are being held at district offices every Friday throughout May, starting May 1 and continuing on May 8, 15, 22, and 29.

Anutin, joined by a government delegation, is visiting Bang Yai City Market in Nonthaburi today (May 1) to observe the rollout and public response. The event draws more than 1,200 participants as the administration spearheads the initiative to ease household expenses and expand access to affordable goods nationwide. (NNT)
