Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visits Hill 500 in Nam Yuen district, Ubon Ratchathani, to assess border operations and meet personnel stationed along the frontier.

UBON RATCHATHANI, Thailand – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul visited the Chong An Ma border area in Ubon Ratchathani province on August 23, 2026, to assess the situation, inspect field operations, and support personnel stationed along the border. ​At Hill 500 in Nam Yuen district, the Prime Minister received a briefing from Task Force 4, which includes personnel from the 43rd Infantry Battalion. The briefing addressed current conditions, key operational responsibilities, and measures to protect deployed personnel.


​The Prime Minister reviewed the work of border security officers and reaffirmed the government’s concern for all personnel. He also expressed regret for losses resulting from the Thailand–Cambodia border situation. The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s ongoing support for personnel safeguarding Thailand’s sovereignty and national security. ​The visit demonstrates the government’s approach to monitoring border security, engaging with field operatives, and ensuring the stability and defense of the country.
