Centara Pattaya Hotel and Centara Nova Hotel & Spa Pattaya jointly marked their seventh anniversaries with the celebration of the Thai traditional “Songkran” New Year. The activities featured symbolic Buddhist traditions including a merit-making ceremony and offering of alms to monks. To bid the old year adieu, staff members also received blessings from the monks and paid respectful tribute to their elders with the act of pouring scented water through the palms of senior staff and management executives. Jonas Sjöstedt (centre), General Manager of both the hotels, presided over the Buddhist ceremony and led the management team and staff in celebrating the hotels’ seventh anniversary by paying respects to the four-faced Brahma image and spirit house, and food offerings were presented to nine monks during the traditional ceremony.
