Thursday, November 3
Greenwood A&B Golf Course
1st Jonathan Pratt (8) – 33 points
2nd Justin Sanders (14) – 33 points

Last time we played here it was like a wet boggy field; a few weeks of dry weather and the course was in fantastic condition, although some players felt the greens on the back nine were a bit slower that the front.

John Pegrum had a turbulent start; his caddy declared she was new, and must have thought “how difficult can this job be: there are only two clubs: a driver and a putter!”. Only then did John realise he had left all his irons at home. With both clubs and caddy replaced, we could then begin.

On the course John had a good game with 32 points just missing out on the getting a place on the podium. Maybe changing clubs was all his game needed.

Meanwhile the winners did everything possible not to win: Justin getting several “blobs” on the card and Jonathan missing 4 tidily putts. But the rest of the field couldn’t take advantage leaving Jonathan to best Justin on count back: both with 33 points.

The near pins went to Alan Cassin, Justin Sanders, Bob Edwards and Dave Smith.
