With the course played from the white tees, it was expected the scoring would be improved over last month’s somewhat frugal returns. This proved to be correct, with several scores of 40 points, or above.

Ladies winner Liny Prom.

The winner in the Ladies Flight, of only 2 players, went to Liny Prom (39) with a comparably feeble 23 points.

The 0 – 12 A Flight saw Thanakiat Keawwapee (10) the winner with 40 points, which was also good enough to win the Low Gross with a 78. The minor placings went to Peter Nixon (11) with 38 points, while Brad Burgess (12) picked up the bronze for his 36 points. Both Peter and Brad also shared in the technical prizes, Peter on #s 4 and 6, while Brad got off to a good start on # 1.

B Flight for handicaps 13 – 21 was won by Bill Copeland (14) with another 40 points, to go with his Long Drive on # 9. Bjorn Bjerkass (15) with a back 9 of 19 points edged out Phil Stringer (21) 17 points for 3rd place, after both had 39 points.

The C Flight winner for handicaps 22+ was won by Birger Karlsson (29) with a day’s best of 41 points, one ahead of Liam Sutton (22) who also picked up the Approach on #8. Third spot on the podium went to Todd Fox (31) with a solid 39 points, to go with his Approach on #7 and Long Drive on #18.
