NAKHON PATHOM, Thailand – Two young men involved in a viral incident in which a Mercedes-Benz was damaged were taken to Nakhon Pathom Provincial Court on Aug. 5, where they apologized and admitted wrongdoing. The two suspects, identified as “Get” and “Tae,” were escorted by police to face legal proceedings at Nakhon Pathom District Court following the widely shared incident.
Get admitted that his actions were inappropriate and apologized to the public, the institution involved and the female victim who was allegedly spat on during the incident. He said his actions were driven by anger and acknowledged that he had handled the situation wrongly. He also clarified that the young woman who was riding with him at the time was only a close junior acquaintance, not his girlfriend.
Regarding the damage to the Mercedes-Benz, estimated at around 300,000–400,000 baht, Get accepted responsibility and said he was prepared to compensate for the losses while allowing the legal process to proceed. When asked about photos of him being widely shared online, he briefly responded, “Please stop.” Tae, who was also taken to court, did not give a lengthy statement but acknowledged his mistake and apologized to the public.
The pair’s changed attitude drew attention online, with many noting the contrast between their earlier defiant statements after the incident and their more subdued appearance during the court appearance. The case has become a reminder of the consequences of impulsive actions and aggressive behavior, particularly among young people.
