Residents of the South Pattaya Pattana Community show city authorities the part of the road that is constantly flooded and are not able to pinpoint the cause of the problem.

City workers are hunting for the source of flooding that has left a South Pattaya road wet and slippery.

City Councilman Jirawat Plukjai ordered roadside grass cut in the South Pattaya Pattana Community Aug. 23 following an inspection of the road linking the community to Soi Bongkot with neighborhood President Prasert Leamlae.

Prasert had received multiple complaints about the road, which constantly is wet and has become slippery as moss has taken root. The curve on the road has been the site of several motorbike accidents, he said.

Water may be leaking from a broken underground pipe or being released by neighboring houses. Once the grass is cut, city hall can detect its source, Jirawat said.

Everyone points to the spot where they suspect a broken underground water pipe to be the cause of the flooding.
