PHITSANULOK, Thailand – A burst water pipe beside the Chedi Luang at Wat Ratchaburana flooded part of a road in Phitsanulok on Friday morning, forcing motorists to take extra care. Large amounts of water were seen pouring continuously from the broken pipe at around 7 a.m. on Sept 5 before spreading across the road leading toward Chaloemkwan Sattri School in Muang Phitsanulok district.
The water left the road surface wet and potentially slippery, creating a hazard for motorists and motorcyclists using the route. Phitsanulok City Municipality was notified and was sending officials to the scene to assess the damage, control the flow and carry out repairs. Motorists using the road beside Wat Ratchaburana were advised to slow down and exercise caution while the water remained on the road.
