About 100 Pattaya youngsters enjoyed story time with a difference, as a Ratchaburi radio personality told humorous fairy tales teaching morality to reinforce good behavior.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Verawat Khakhay and City Manager Wuttipol Charoenpol welcomed teacher and Ratchaburi 99.25 FM presenter Ratima Udomsiri. The host of “Tai Rom Pra Baramee” (“Under the auspices of His Majesty the King’s Grace and Benevolence”) led the kids in telling stories in an activity that not only preached mercy, honesty, fellowship, and uprightness, but helped them with Thai pronunciation.

The stories conveyed messages aimed at encouraging youths to be reasonable, deal with problems without violence, be polite and conscientious, think positively, and to relax and avoid conflict.

Verawat said the event was just one of many organized by city hall to mold Pattaya’s youth to be better citizens and students.
