A Pong Sub-district clerk was injured when his pickup truck plunged into a ravine near the Pong Interchange Bridge.

Sawang Boriboon Foundation rescuers used the Jaws of Life to free 33-year-old Bunyiem Phookhaengmok, who was unconscious and stuck behind the wheel of his Ford XLT Aug. 19. He was transported to Banglamung Hospital for treatment.

Taxi driver Phutha Khenphunkho reported the accident to authorities after passing by the interchange bridge and spotting the demolished truck lying in the ditch. Police speculated Bunyiem dozed off while driving.

Rescue workers wait for the arrival of the Jaws of Life, and were eventually able to free Bunyiem Phookhaengmok from his crumpled pickup. Rescue workers wait for the arrival of the Jaws of Life, and were eventually able to free Bunyiem Phookhaengmok from his crumpled pickup.
