The Provincial Electricity Authority briefed Soi 6 business owners about a planned upgrade to the formerly private street’s antiquated electrical grid.

Puwadet Chutinantakul, the PEA’s deputy technical manager, met June 25 with members of the Soi Yodsak Community.

Residents and business owners on the former Soi Yodsak listened to opinions and proposals to bring the electricity system up to national standards.

The soi long has suffered from power cuts due to old hanging wires, and buildings have been extended over power lines, making it difficult for the utility to maintain the wires.

Puwadet called on the business owners to remove awnings covering lines to prepare for the service and upgrade.
