PATTAYA, Thailand – A 32-year-old woman was injured and taken to hospital after an altercation with a male neighbor escalated into violence at an apartment in Soi Thepprasit 7, South Pattaya, early morning on June 19. At 06:30 a.m. rescue volunteers and officers from Pattaya City Police Station were dispatched to the scene to investigate. At the scene authorities found the woman suffering from bruises across her body, with lacerations to her lip and right eyebrow. Blood was visible on her face and clothing. Rescue workers provided first aid before transferring her to hospital for further treatment.

Police said the suspect had fled the scene before officers arrived, and a search was launched along possible escape routes. According to the victim, the suspect—identified only as “Keng”—was her next-door neighbor, living just one room away. She said she had moved into the apartment around five to six months earlier, and that the man had reportedly shown persistent unwanted interest in her from the beginning. She added that she avoided him and had no romantic involvement.

The victim stated that she returned from work and was preparing to rest when she encountered the suspect outside her room. A brief exchange escalated into an argument, after which he allegedly slapped and punched her, causing her injuries. She said she was later assisted by bystanders who intervened to stop the assault. A witness told police they heard the couple arguing and initially stepped in to separate them. The witness said the dispute appeared to begin over a complaint about loud phone conversations. Although the situation was initially calmed, the confrontation reportedly resumed and turned physical again downstairs before the suspect fled the scene. Police are continuing their investigation and working to locate and apprehend the suspect for questioning and possible legal action.
