Pattaya streets remain soaked as rain continues, with authorities monitoring traffic and potential flooding across the city.

PATTAYA, Thailand – The Meteorological Department reports that rainfall continues across Thailand, with particularly heavy showers expected in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Suphan Buri, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, and Ranong provinces. Northern regions are experiencing cooler mornings due to a low-pressure system that has moved from the upper Gulf of Thailand toward the upper Andaman Sea. The strong monsoon trough continues across the upper southern region and the upper Gulf, accompanied by easterly and southeasterly winds covering the north and central areas, while the high-pressure cold air mass over northern Thailand is weakening.

Authorities have urged farmers to take precautions against potential crop damage and advised the public to stay mindful of their health amid rapidly changing weather conditions. Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution in rain-affected areas, where heavy downpours could trigger localized flooding. At sea, the upper Gulf of Thailand and upper Andaman Sea are experiencing moderate waves of one to two meters, with higher waves in areas of thunderstorms. Boaters are advised to navigate carefully and avoid stormy areas.

In Pattaya, officials are actively managing traffic along Khao Talo Railway Road, while city authorities continue monitoring potential flooding at Mum Aroi intersection on Third Road, though rainfall remains light with no waterlogging reported. Walking Street is wet from continuous rain, and persistent rainfall from central Pattaya to Wat Sutthawat has caused repeated disruptions in water supply, particularly along Soi Khao Noi, where residents have reported broken pipes.

Heavy rains continue across southern Thailand as northern cold air weakens and easterly winds sweep central regions.
