Pattaya hosts global tourism summit with delegates from over 100 countries

Tourism leaders and travel operators from more than 100 countries gathered in Pattaya for the International Tourism Summit Asia 2026, as the city pushes to strengthen its position as a major global tourism hub.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Mayor Poramet Ngampichet officially opened the “International Tourism Summit Asia 2026” in Pattaya on May 13, welcoming tourism operators and business representatives from more than 100 countries to the major industry gathering. The event, held at Grand Bella Hotel on Central Pattaya Road, brought together global travel companies, hotel operators, tourism agencies, and service businesses for networking and international business negotiations.



Among those attending were Thanet Supornsahasrungsi, Ahangir Hossain, and Murtaza Kalender, alongside tourism entrepreneurs from multiple regions. A major highlight of the summit was a series of Business Matching sessions connecting Thai tourism operators with international B2B travel representatives from the United States, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom, Turkey, the Middle East, Africa, China, and India. Organizers said the meetings aim to expand tourism partnerships, open new sales channels, and strengthen future international cooperation across the travel industry.


Mayor Poramet said Pattaya remains well-positioned to welcome global visitors, citing the city’s hotel infrastructure, transportation systems, safety measures, and wide range of tourism activities.

He added that the city is continuing efforts to establish Pattaya as a leading tourism and international event hub in Asia, with the goal of generating long-term economic growth across multiple sectors.

Pattaya brought together global tourism businesses, hotel operators, and international travel agencies for high-level business matching talks aimed at expanding worldwide tourism partnerships and investment opportunities.
