Stabilizing upper management of Pattaya City Hospital was the top priority as trustees met to plan the 2023 budget.
Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet chaired the Pattaya City Hospital Board of Trustees meeting Aug. 17 where he was briefed on operational evaluations and budget proposals.

Reports covered income and expenses, staffing, independent contracts for services, social security, universal health coverage, preparation of vaccines planning, and the introduction of ophthalmology services at the Koh Larn Community Medical Center, which Pattaya Hospital operates.

But Poramet seemed most concerned with the constant churn of senior management at the Pattaya and Koh Larn facilities, particularly in its auditor office.
Pattaya this month approved the spending of 86 million baht to hire a private company to take over operation of the Koh Larn center. The current management will be transferred or let go.

But stabilizing the city’s medical management remains a priority, Poramet said, assigning committees to collect data from across the operation.
