PATTAYA, Thailand – Police are investigating after five contractor vehicles were deliberately damaged in what appears to have been a tyre-slashing spree in Jomtien on Monday night.

The incident occurred near the entrance to Jomtien Soi 11, where Pattaya Municipal Enforcement officers joined police to inspect the damaged vehicles following reports of criminal vandalism.

According to the vehicle owner, the contractor’s vehicles were parked at around 8:30 p.m. before the owner returned approximately 30 minutes later to discover that all five vehicles had suffered punctured tyres.

Authorities believe the damage was caused by a sharp object used to slash the sidewalls of the tyres, rendering them unusable. Officers advised the owner to file a formal complaint with Pattaya City Police Station, while investigators have begun examining CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify the suspect. Police have not ruled out any motive and are investigating whether the vehicles were specifically targeted or whether the incident was a random act of vandalism. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is urged to contact Pattaya City Police as efforts continue to locate the person responsible.

Investigators have not ruled out any motive as they examine CCTV footage to determine whether the tyre-slashing was a targeted attack or a random act of vandalism.
