PATTAYA, Thailand – The Child Protection and Development Center in Chonburi was filled with laughter and smiles when senior executives from Lufthansa Cargo Group visited the facility to support vulnerable children and promote opportunities for their education and future development. The visit on July 27 was led by Mr. Klaus Hagenkord, Director Sales and Handling Thailand and Viet Nam, together with executives and staff from Lufthansa Cargo Group, who joined community activities, provided educational support and spent meaningful time with children under the care of the Human Help Network Foundation Thailand (HHNFT).
The visit reflected the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, showing that its role extends beyond business operations to helping create a better future for young people and supporting communities in Thailand. Many children at the Child Protection and Development Center have experienced difficult circumstances, including family problems, neglect, violence and a lack of opportunities. Despite these challenges, the children continue to hold dreams and hopes for their futures like children everywhere.
The Lufthansa Cargo Group team’s visit provided more than educational support and donations. It offered encouragement, friendship and the message that these children are valued and not forgotten. During the visit, children welcomed the guests by showing them the center’s agricultural garden and Aquaponics project, which provides learning opportunities in sustainable farming and self-sufficiency. The group later joined a creative cloth bag painting activity and shared ice cream together, creating a warm atmosphere filled with smiles and friendship.
One young girl at the Child Protection and Development Center said she was happy to meet the visitors and enjoyed the activities. She said she hoped to study hard, build a successful career in the future and one day help other children just as she had been supported.
Staff members at the Child Protection and Development Center said support from private organizations and the public is an important part of improving the children’s quality of life. They explained that every scholarship, learning material donation and shared activity provides valuable encouragement and helps children build confidence for the future.
