PATTAYA, Thailand – A late-night road incident involving a group of Kuwaiti big bike riders left a Grab driver and his passenger injured after one of the motorcycles clipped their vehicle on Pattaya Third Road near the Land Office intersection.
Rescue workers arrived at the scene around 4:00 a.m. and found Ms. Pansa Wongcharoen, 36, suffering injuries to her left arm, hip, and leg. She was rushed to Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital for treatment. The driver, Ekarat Meesingkit, 28, sustained a leg injury but declined to be taken to hospital. His red Yamaha motorcycle showed clear signs of damage from the collision.
Ekarat explained to police that he had been transporting Ms. Patsa down from the Bali Hai overpass when he encountered two Kuwaiti bikers weaving across the road with their large motorcycles. As he attempted to swerve left to avoid danger, one of the big bikes struck the rear of his motorcycle, sending his passenger tumbling onto the road.
Police confirmed they are now reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify the riders involved and pursue legal action.
