Australian tourist reunited with lost phone after Pattaya police track it down via GPS on Koh Larn.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Police officers on Koh Larn, Pattaya, successfully recovered a lost Motorola Edge 50 Pro smartphone belonging to Mr. Goel Sunil, a 46-year-old Australian tourist, after it went missing while he was riding a banana boat off Ta Waen Beach.

Mr. Sunil reported the incident to police on August 26 and later used the phone’s GPS tracking system, which showed the device was still located near the beach.



Koh Larn police, in coordination with local marine operators and Pattaya Tourist Police, launched a search operation. Eventually, the phone was found and returned by the individual who had picked it up.

Mr. Sunil expressed his gratitude to the police and locals for their dedication, noting that the recovery reflected Pattaya authorities’ strong commitment to tourist safety and confidence in the city as a world-class destination.  (Photo from Pattaya Police Station Official FB Page)
