BANGKOK, Thailand – An Italian tourist sought help from Don Mueang Tourist Police after discovering that he had left his wallet on a Thai Lion Air flight from Chiang Mai to Don Mueang Airport. The tourist arrived at Don Mueang at around 11.40 p.m. on August 9 after travelling on Thai Lion Air flight SL521, seated in 35D. He said he last used his black wallet during the flight when purchasing a drink and believed he may have left it near his seat or elsewhere in the cabin. The wallet contained around 100 baht in cash, five credit cards, an identification card and a driving licence.
Tourist Police officers collected details about the missing wallet and contacted the airline’s Lost and Found department to check whether it had been recovered. The airline initially reported that the wallet had not been found and said staff would conduct another search the following morning after the aircraft had been parked. Officers obtained the tourist’s contact details so they could follow up on the search. The tourist also requested to file a formal report concerning the missing wallet. Tourist Police assisted him in travelling to Don Mueang Police Station (separate unit) to lodge a complaint for further investigation.
The tourist expressed his appreciation and thanked the Tourist Police for their assistance.
