BANGKOK, Thailand – A fire broke out at a car repair garage in Bangkok’s Ratchada area on Sunday morning, with firefighters rushing to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings. The fire was reported at 10:27 a.m. on August 2, inside a vehicle repair shop located in Soi Ratchadaphisek 36 Yaek 11, Ratchadaphisek Road, Chantharakasem Subdistrict, Chatuchak District.
The Bangkok Fire and Rescue Centre (Phra Ram 199) received the emergency call and coordinated with Lat Phrao Fire and Rescue Station crews to respond to the incident. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 10:39 a.m. and found the repair shop, a steel-frame structure with a metal sheet roof, fully engulfed in flames. The fire had spread rapidly throughout the garage area.
Emergency crews immediately deployed water hoses and launched firefighting operations to bring the blaze under control and prevent the flames from spreading to surrounding buildings and nearby property. Authorities were continuing to monitor the situation, while the cause of the fire and the extent of damage remained under investigation.
