ROI ET, Thailand – Three people were injured, including one trapped inside a Toyota Fortuner, after the SUV lost control and crashed into a roadside tree in Roi Et province. The crash occurred at around 8:30 p.m. on July 29 along the Phayakkhaphum Phisai–Kaset Wisai Road, outbound from Phayakkhaphum Phisai district, just before entering Non Sawan municipality in Pathum Rat district. Emergency responders from Pathum Rat Hospital, together with volunteers from the Phayakkhaphum Phisai Rescue Association and municipal rescue teams, rushed to the scene with ambulances and hydraulic rescue equipment. The Fortuner sustained severe front-end damage after striking the tree. Three occupants were injured, with one person trapped inside the wreckage.
Rescuers used hydraulic cutting and spreading tools to free the trapped victim before providing first aid. All three injured occupants were then transported to Pathum Rat Hospital for treatment.
Traffic police and investigators from Bua Khao Police Station secured the scene, managed traffic, and began gathering evidence to determine the cause of the crash.
Authorities urged motorists to drive with extra caution, particularly at night and on high-risk roads, to help prevent serious accidents.
