Pattaya officials remove an abandoned beach tent after finding no owner or occupant at the popular seaside location.

PATTAYA, Thailand – A tent with a million-baht view but no holidaymaker inside caught the attention of Pattaya City officials after it was found abandoned along the beach near the Dusit Thani North Curve, July 16. Pattaya municipal officers inspected the area after noticing a tent set up on the beachfront. Upon checking, officials found nobody inside and no owner nearby. The tent was removed from the public area to maintain cleanliness, safety, and order along the popular coastal stretch.  Pattaya City reminded residents and visitors that overnight camping and setting up tents for accommodation on Pattaya Beach is not permitted. The measure is aimed at ensuring the beach remains a clean, safe, and shared public space for everyone to enjoy.

While many visitors come to Pattaya’s beaches to relax, enjoy the scenery, and spend time by the sea, officials said public areas must be used responsibly and in accordance with local regulations.

Authorities encouraged tourists and residents to help keep Pattaya’s beaches attractive by disposing of waste properly and respecting rules designed to protect the environment and comfort of all beach users. Pattaya City Hall said officers will continue monitoring public areas and responding to issues affecting safety, cleanliness, and order. Anyone who encounters problems or needs assistance can contact Pattaya City Hall’s hotline 1337 for support and reporting incidents.
