PATTAYA, Thailand – The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) has announced a full toll exemption on three expressway routes on Monday, in observance of Coronation Day, as part of government efforts to reduce public travel costs.
The exemption will be effective from 00:01 to 24:00 on May 4, covering three major expressway systems:
- Chalerm Maha Nakhon Expressway (Din Daeng–Bang Na–Dao Khanong), 21 toll plazas
- Si Rat Expressway (Chaeng Watthana–Bang Khlo–Srinakarin), 32 toll plazas
- Udon Ratthaya Expressway (Bang Pa-in–Pak Kret), 10 toll plazas
The policy aligns with government and Ministry of Transport initiatives under revised concession agreements with relevant private operators, aimed at easing the financial burden on commuters and encouraging smoother travel during the public holiday.
Authorities expect increased traffic volume throughout the day as residents take advantage of the toll-free expressway access.
