PATTAYA, Thailand – Authorities in Pattaya quickly responded to assist a 5-year-old boy who was found separated from his parents near a major shopping mall in the city, ensuring his safety before transferring him to child welfare officials.

The incident occurred on April 21 after Pattaya City Radio Center coordinated with Pattaya City Police Station to request assistance from municipal enforcement officers following reports of a young boy found wandering alone in the Central Pattaya area.

Municipal officers from Pattaya’s enforcement unit, using patrol vehicle 202, arrived at the scene and took the child into their care. The boy was identified by his nickname as “Nong Pai,” approximately five years old.

Officials provided initial care and ensured the child’s safety while attempts were made to locate his parents or guardians. When no immediate relatives were found, authorities proceeded according to child protection procedures.

The boy was later transferred to the Chonburi Provincial Child and Family Protection Home, where he is now under official care. Relevant legal documentation was also completed in accordance with child protection regulations.

Authorities said the case is being handled under established procedures to ensure the child’s safety and welfare. They also urged parents or guardians who may be searching for missing children to contact relevant agencies immediately.

Officials have not released further details on how the child became separated from his family, as efforts continue to identify and contact his guardians.
