Police and rescue workers respond after a heavily intoxicated Chinese tourist was accused of groping two women and clashing with nightclub security guards in Pattaya.

PATTAYA, Thailand – A Chinese tourist was taken into custody after allegedly groping two young women and clashing with security guards at a nightclub in South Pattaya during the early hours of April 22.

Police were called to the entertainment venue on South Pattaya Road at around 1 a.m. following reports of a disturbance and an injured person.

When officers arrived, nightclub security guards were restraining a heavily intoxicated Chinese man who was reportedly shouting aggressively. Two young Thai women were also at the scene and later gave statements to police.

The man was taken to Pattaya City Police Station, where he reportedly continued shouting and behaving erratically. Rescue workers later treated him for a cut above his left eyebrow after blood was seen covering his face and clothes.

The two women, aged 19 and 20, told police they were waiting to enter the nightclub when the man allegedly harassed them and repeatedly touched one of them inappropriately.

According to their statements, they initially tried to ignore the behavior, but after repeated incidents they asked security guards for help.

During the confrontation, the man allegedly became aggressive, attempting to kick people and throw a glass toward the women before becoming involved in a struggle with security staff.

The women said they intend to pursue legal action, insisting that such behavior should not be tolerated regardless of who is involved.

Police said they will review CCTV footage from inside the venue and ensure fairness for all parties. The man remains in custody while officers wait for him to sober up before continuing their investigation.
