The commander the navy’s Air and Coastal Defense Command brought supplies and household help to an infirm career marine.

Rear Adm. Utai Chewasutti, navy medics and enlisted men visited Prasert Lim, 75, at his home in Ban Chang’s Cheung Khao Community June 3.



Prasert joined the marines in 1975.

Prasert, who joined the marines in 1975, is now sick and bedridden with some paralysis. Utai brought him medicine, adult diapers, a toilet stool and other supplies.

Sailors also set about the house, repairing parts damaged by storms and flooding.

Utai said he was honored to help a career marine and promised not to abandon him or other retired sailors in need of help.
