4-year-old Russian-Thai girl drowns in private pool in Pattaya

The distraught mother looks on as medics try but can’t save the girl.

Sawang Boriboon Foundation rescuers were unable to save a 4-year-old Russian-Thai girl who drowned in the family’s private pool in Pattaya.

Members of Pattaya’s lifesaving unit performed CPR on the child at around 8.30 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, in Phornthep Village.



The precious child passed away before reaching Banglamung Hospital.
House owner Arisara Sosnin, 27, told police that the girl’s father was from Russia and the mother from Buriram. The family was visiting from Buriram.

Arisara said she and the parents were sitting and talking when they noticed the girl was no longer in the room. They searched the house but didn’t find the toddler until it was too late.

The girl drowned in the house pool.



Medics take the girl out on a stretcher.



The girl was rushed to Banglamung Hospital but it was too late to save her.
